Four more suppliers support National Home Improvement Week
Further to the launch of the new industry-backed consumer promotion, National Home Improvement Awareness Week, four more suppliers have joined the campaign. Home and garden chemicals company, Barrettine, seeds and garden products company, G Plants, bathroom accessories supplier, Croydex and Doulton Water Filters have all come on board as supporters and will be participating with promotions during the campaign.
The initiative which takes place from 12th to 18th March to make the most of the key selling period ahead of Easter features the tag line ‘Love The Home You Live In’. It is all about inspiring and enabling consumers to get back into home improvement, make more of their garden and outdoor space, or have fun with new-style DIY, craft, and upcycling.
Paul Grinsell, home and garden improvement director at BHETA, the trade association which is co-ordinating the project, said, “We’re delighted to see such massive enthusiasm from suppliers wanting to support the campaign’s objective of re-engaging with consumers and driving sales through the whole of the home and garden retail sector. The website has launched, the consumer media is coming on board, the social media campaign has started, and we have wholesalers and retail organisations keen to drive the campaign to consumers. Marketing materials are now available to all retailers and the NHIW campaign is really gathering momentum.”
